I'm a 33 yr old mom of 4 kidlings. I love the anime art (I'm a little Inu obsessed at the moment, but pretty much interested in all of them). I haven't taken any classes, unless you count art appreciation in high school. I haven't drawn this much in over 10 years (I kinda got away from it when I started my family). I used to draw all the time growing up and eventally had also taken up painting. I'm wanting get back into painting as well. I was always the one in high school they got to be on the decorating committee for events (drawing everything from giant carousel horses to a 6 foot tall 'little mermaid'. I even done some portraits of few people (sadly, I don't have them anymore). I love the realist look to your art. I am drawing from what I've seen and know. I'm trying my hand doing original pieces going off excellently worded descriptions. I do this mostly for fun but I would like to get better at it.

Well, since I don't know how old you are (not listed on your profile) it's a little difficult for me to critique you. It seems that you're mostly looking off of existing images and copying them for your work, and that's an excellent way to start. I can't really say much more without knowing your age, what you want to be good at and experience background (what classes you've taken, if any, etc.).

And yes, critiquing is a word.
